Our Origin
After witnessing the increasingly devastating effects of climate change on the world and, more intimately, on her home province of British Columbia, Canada, Crystal Kuyumcu was compelled to action. Having worked as an aerospace engineer for over fifteen years, Crystal did not agree that transportation should be largely excluded from decarbonization strategies because of its cost and technological complexity and decided to investigate solutions for drastically reducing transportation carbon footprints.

Excited by the advances in Direct Air Capture (DAC) and interested in nanomaterial developments, Crystal founded Exhale Aerosystems to combine these technologies to produce feedstock for desperately needed carbon-neutral fuels. Crystal successfully designed a modular DAC Carbon Removal System in pursuit of a singular bold vision: Gigatonnes of Carbon Dioxide Removal and Utilization on a global scale to help secure a safer, healthier future for our planet.

CRYSTAL KUYUMCU, P.ENG
Founder & CEO
Crystal Kuyumcu is the Founder and CEO of Exhale Aerosystems. She is an aerospace engineer and a former federal officer for Transport Canada with 15 years of experience in aircraft structures and systems engineering. Crystal holds a Bachelors of Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University. Her background entails a wide variety of aircraft modification projects and she has significant experience in aircraft certification with in-depth knowledge of the aircraft regulatory framework.

AREV KUYUMCU
Director of Operations
Arev Kuyumcu is a Mechanical Engineer and the Operations Lead for Exhale Aerosystems. Arev is an experienced engineer with a demonstrated history of working in facilities and project management. Arev holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa.

BROOKE HARRIPERSAUD
Communications & Development Manager
Brooke Harripersaud is the Communications & Development Manager for Exhale Aerosystems. Currently Brooke oversees a variety of communication, funding, and business development
projects. She has experience writing across disciplines: professionally, creatively, and academically. Brooke received her Bachelors in English Literature from the University of Toronto in 2018. Brooke is an active team leader within her church community, contributing to multiple initiatives dedicated to supporting women and young adults.

Mr. Mason has served as a senior officer and director of several public companies and has extensive experience in financings and acquisitions in capital markets. Douglas is currently Chairman of the Board, President & C.E.O. of Magnum Goldcorp Inc., Chairman of the Board of TransCanna Holdings Inc., a Director for BevCanna Enterprises Inc., and Chairman of the Advisory Committee for Daizee Baby Corp. From 1988 through 2005, Douglas served as President & Chief Executive Officer and as a director of Clearly Canadian Beverage Corporation. During his nearly 20 years in the beverage industry, Douglas built a reputation for innovation and has been credited as being one of the pioneers in the New Age Beverage category.
